Tanzania: Heart & Soul of Kilimanjaro

Tanzania: Heart & Soul of Kilimanjaro Tanzania: Heart & Soul of Kilimanjaro

At dawn, the rising sun floods Tanzania’s cool grasslands with gold. Schoolchildren walk along the roadsides and vendors set out their wares. Tanzania is a place where the largest animals mingle with the smallest and the landscapes are colorful and diverse. More than anything, it’s the Tanzanian people who will make your visit unforgettable. Whether you’re exchanging ideas with energetic students, going on a safari with local guides or engaging with community members, you’ll experience the warmth and hospitality of Tanzania and the natural beauty of East Africa.

On GLA’s Tanzania: Heart & Soul of Kilimanjaro program you will:

  • Develop educational resources to tutor children at a local primary school
  • Help build and restore school facilities
  • Experience an African safari and spot zebras, lions, rhinos and more
  • Learn how Tanzanian coffee is cultivated at a family-run farm
