Costa Rica: Medicine & Healthcare Discovery
On GLA’s Costa Rica: Medicine & Healthcare Discovery program you will:
- Work side-by-side with local healthcare professionals and collaborate on initiatives to support children and the elderly
- Support ophthalmologists with vision test screenings in local elementary schools
- Assist local physical therapy professionals in elder care centers and nursing homes
- Help facilitate a dental health workshop in a local community
- Discover the beauty of Costa Rica through visits to waterfalls and beaches
- Explore a national park, hike around a volcano and through valleys and zipline through the treetops
