What’s the GLA College Scholarship Ambassador Program?

As a GLA Ambassador, you’ll collaborate with our admissions and marketing teams over the next half year to promote GLA within your community and beyond. Your responsibilities will include:

• Hosting online presentations about your GLA experience
• Leading live Q&A sessions with potential students
• Creating interview content that showcases GLA’s impact
• Engaging in community outreach to attract new participants
• Developing content for social media and our newsletter

What Do I Get If I’m Accepted and Complete All Requirements as a GLA College Scholarship Ambassador?

• $1,000 college scholarship or $2,000 scholarship towards a GLA program of your choosing this upcoming year
• Valuable experience in marketing, communication, and leadership
• Exclusive recognition as one of only 8-10 selected College Scholarship Ambassadors

What Does the GLA College Scholarship Program Look Like?

You will rotate through different active learning components over the course of your half-year experience, working with and shadowing different members of the GLA team depending on the field of focus any given month.

From social media to event management and written communication skills, during your rotations you will gain marketing and professional leadership skills that will serve you well in college, career and beyond.

Here’s a sample of what your schedule may look like, as rotations will differ by Ambassador:

• November 1: Internship begins 
• November: Rotation 1 – Social Media module
• December: Rotation 2 – Written Communication module (with holiday break)
• January: Rotation 3 – Online and In-Person Events module
• February: Rotation 4  – Community Development module
• March: Team Project – Spring Break Programming module
• April 30: Internship Ends (final project due)
  
• May: Scholarship awards distributed

How Do I Apply?

Complete this form and include a one-minute video explaining why you want to join our Ambassador program, what you bring to the role, and what you hope to gain.

Our management team will select 8-10 students based on applicants’ strengths and interests.

What is the Deadline?
