Calling all animal lovers!

There’s a new opportunity for you to make a difference in for animals in need. The Costa Rica Animal Rescue Project gives teens like you the chance to help rehabilitate injured and abandoned pets.

Here’s why you should consider working with animals in Costa Rica:
You’ll Have The Chance To Work Alongside Experts

Not only will you have the opportunity to gain community service hours and learn about the rich culture of Costa Rica, you’ll be working alongside animal experts from Nosara Animal care, a no-kill non-profit animal welfare organization.

You Are The Teacher

During this program, you’ll have the chance to teach the local community about the proper ways to care for both cats and dogs. This leadership role can make a world of difference to pets in need.

You’ll Learn About The Native Animals

Costa Rica has one of the most unique ecosystems in the world. From the jungle to the coastline, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the animals that call Costa Rica home. Volunteers will visit a puma rescue and have the chance to spot rare reptiles birds living in the rainforest and learn about the work that’s being done to help protect sea turtles in Costa Rica.

You Get To Experience A New Culture

Take the chance to step out of your comfort zone and learn about this Pacific paradise and its rich culture and customs. You’ll learn how to cook traditional Costa Rican foods and you can even take Salsa dance lessons.

You’ll Discover Adventure

From hiking to hidden waterfalls to horseback riding along the coastline, the opportunities for adventure are never-ending. You’ll have the chance to try something new, like stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking along Costa Rica’s rivers. You’ll even have the opportunity to take surf lessons in the Pacific.
