This immersive adventure takes student travelers beyond the classroom to discover the world of artificial intelligence, robotics, esports and entrepreneurship. Explore innovative technology hubs, participate in interactive workshops and experience the industries shaping tomorrow’s world. From professional gaming at LoL Park to exploring Korean university life and creating your own digital webtoon, discover how your interests can connect to exciting future careers.
Beyond the world of technology, experience the energy and culture of South Korea firsthand. Learn K-pop dance moves in a hands-on workshop, dress in traditional hanbok at a historic royal palace and explore Seoul’s trendy neighborhoods, bustling street-food markets and vibrant shopping districts. Travel aboard Korea’s high-speed KTX train to the coastal city of Busan, where colorful hillside villages, beautiful beaches and the excitement of Korean baseball await.
On GLA’s South Korea: AI, Animation & K-Culture program you will:
- Dive into AI, robotics, and Korean gaming culture with a visit to LoL Park, the home of League of Legends esports
- Learn K-pop dance choreography in an interactive workshop and explore Seoul’s vibrant Hongdae entertainment district
- Create your own digital Korean webtoon during an artist-led storytelling workshop in Busan
- Connect with local university students to experience campus life and discover future career pathways
- Dress in traditional hanbok at Gyeongbokgung Palace, explore historic temples and sample street food in Seoul’s night markets
- Ride the high-speed KTX train to Busan to explore colorful Gamcheon Culture Village, relax on the beach and experience a Korean baseball game

Career Exploration
Explore the creative and technological industries driving global innovation across South Korea. Student travelers engage in pre-professional field learning that spans artificial intelligence, robotics, esports management and digital media production. Tour technology incubators, analyze smart-city infrastructure and visit LoL Park to examine how competitive gaming operates as a multi-billion-dollar global entertainment industry. Through university visits, startup engagements and an artist-led webtoon masterclass in Busan, student travelers investigate real-world career trajectories in engineering, software development, digital illustration and media enterprise.
Exploratory Travel
Examine how South Korea seamlessly integrates ancient heritage, global K-culture phenomena, and futuristic urban development. Student travelers investigate how Seoul evolved into a global smart city, analyzing driverless transportation models along Cheonggyecheon Stream, futuristic architectural design at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) and interactive digital media art at HiKR Ground. Study the historical foundations of Korean society while exploring Gyeongbokgung Palace in traditional hanbok and walking through Bukchon Hanok Village. From Seoul’s university districts to Busan’s coastal redevelopment, examine how k-pop culture, technology and geography shape South Korea’s global impact.
Adventure
Experience the dynamic energy, high-speed connectivity and coastal landscapes of South Korea. Student travelers ride the high-speed KTX train across the country to Busan, navigate the winding hillside alleys of Gamcheon Culture Village,and take in the electric atmosphere of a professional Korean baseball game at Sajik Stadium. Along the way, participate in a high-energy K-pop dance workshop, master digital storytelling techniques in a hands-on webtoon studio and have fun on interactive challenges through the bustling night markets of Seoul and the coastal beaches of Haeundae.

Immerse yourself in the hyper-modern energy, centuries-old traditions, and global media revolution of South Korea.
Lodging: Stay in safe, welcoming Home Bases in central Seoul and coastal Busan, including modern hotels and student accommodations tailored for group learning. Shared common areas provide space for digital art workshops,team reflections and group collaboration.
