Our journey continues with a visit to the Tipon archaeological site, followed by a 2-day adventure experiencing a Quechua homestay and culminating in exciting activities like rafting and kayaking through mountain rivers.

On GLA’s Peru Internship: Career Exploration in STEM with Focus on Engineering & Sustainable Development you will:
- Engage in hands-on water conservation projects in rural communities as you explore current challenges and how science and technology can help solve them
- Learn from experienced professionals about ancient Inca engineering and how it’s still relevant today
- Spend a night in a traditional artisanal village with a Quechua host and learn about Andean traditions and culture
- Immerse yourself in authentic Peruvian cultural activities in nearby highland communities
- Embark on a two-day expedition to Machu Picchu and camp among stunning mountains
- Earn a total of 60 internship hours throughout the program
