GLOBAL LEADERSHIP ADVENTURES
STAND UP FOR SERVICE
At GLA, we believe leaders are made, not born.
Calling all young leaders looking to make a difference in 2025!
STAND UP FOR SERVICE WITH GLA THIS MARCH
Global Leadership Adventures was co-founded by a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, and our program model takes a lot of inspiration from the Peace Corps, just adapted to shorter duration programs designed for teens.
That’s why GLA is proud to Stand Up For Service this March alongside the National Peace Corps Association, as we celebrate the Corps’ 64th birthday on March 1st.
For those teens who wish to make meaningful global community service a part of their story this year, GLA is offering the opportunity to apply for free throughout the month of March when you use code STANDUP100 during time of enrollment. That’s a $100 savings, and will hopefully make the start of your journey in global service a bit easier!
Additionally, for those who enroll by March 15th, you’ll also receive GLA’s premium 20 Year celebration t-shirt free.
There’s never been a more pressing time around the world to lend a hand to communities and habitats in-need. Will you join us in making a difference this summer?
Keep the torch lit. The world needs global citizens now more than ever.
In 1961, President John F. Kennedy launched the U.S. Peace Corps, igniting a movement of service, cultural exchange and global connection.
“I want to talk tonight about an idea I have for the young people of this country, particularly those who are interested in serving abroad. How many of you who are going to be doctors are willing to spend your days in Ghana? Technicians or engineers—how many of you are willing to work in the Foreign Service and spend your lives traveling around the world?” John F. Kennedy delivered this impromptu speech at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1960, widely considered the birth of the Peace Corps movement.
It has long been an American tradition to venture beyond our borders—not just to see the world, but to improve it and the lives of those who share it. The impact isn’t just on those we serve; it transforms those who serve. Volunteers gain invaluable technical and leadership skills, learn to navigate diverse cultures and develop a global perspective that lasts a lifetime. Traveling is like pulling back a curtain: you can never see the world the same way again.
At Global Leadership Adventures, we are carrying this legacy forward for the next generation. GLA was co-founded by a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer and a Time 100 recipient, and for more than 20 years, we’ve offered immersive, Peace Corps-inspired summer programs designed specifically for teens.
Our travel programs and internships, designed exclusively for teens, guide our student volunteers as they step beyond their comfort zones, engage in meaningful community service and become the global changemakers our world needs.
At a time when isolationism and division are growing, we need young leaders who see the world as one interconnected community. The Peace Corps’ mission must live on. The torch is now in your hands.
Join a GLA program this spring break or summer and be part of something bigger.
