GLA’s YouTube Video Contest

SYDNEY PANZER, Winner

Sydney’s video entry from GLA’s Spain: Spanish Service Adventure program stood out to the selection committee for its awesome (and super creative!) intro that truly encompasses GLA’s core values. Her music choice and stunning visuals of Spain captured throughout the video also caught our attention, and by the end, our committee was ready to hop on a plane to Spain. We’re thrilled to announce Sydney as the winner of GLA’s 2017 YouTube video contest!

We had so many incredible video submissions this year – more than ever before – and we were impressed with the dedication of each and every filmmaker who submitted a video. Below, we’d like to highlight some honorable mentions who deserve special recognition for their craft.

And thanks to everyone else who submitted a video this year for the contest. Your short films from across the globe were truly inspiring, and we had a very difficult time picking from such a good crop of videos. Be sure to keep on making your art and sharing it with others!

GLA’s Instagram Video Contest

This year, we had students from around the world submit short-form videos on Instagram. These remarkable videos share a moment, a memory, and sometimes even a feeling, and we’re excited to announce them as the winners of our 2017 Instagram video contest.

GLA’s Photo Contest

The competition in our photography contest this year was particularly fierce, with students submitting so many incredible photos from around the world that we could cover the walls of our entire office. Though it was difficult to pick from so many wonderful entries, the following photos went above and beyond, and the selection committee is proud to name them winners of our 2017 photo contest.
